At All Care Chem-Dry, we understand rugs are more than something to walk on!
They add color and character to rooms which is why we love them. Often we think about cleaning oriental rugs before a party or family gathering. While maintaining your rugs' good looks is important, oriental rugs should also be cleaned for your health and to protect your investment.
We will give your rug the care it needs regardless of where in the world it came from: an oriental rug store or gallery, foreign rug bazaar, inherited family heirloom, or estate sale.
We handle all sizes & types of oriental rugs, including: Persian, Tabriz, Sarouk, & Oushak.
There are two methods for cleaning area rugs: ON-site and OFF-site.
ON-Site Oriental Rug Cleaning
Recommended for oriental rugs that:
- are machine woven
- have low-pile fibers
- have sturdy synthetic fibers like nylon or polyester (PET)
- are cleaned on a regular basis
This method is most effective as a maintenance clean but less effective on heavy soil, spills or stains that require specialty treatment, and delicate fibers.
Rug Urine Treatment for all types of odors (urine, feces, vomit, skunk) must be performed off-site.
OFF-Site Oriental Rug Cleaning
Recommended for oriental rugs that:
- are hand woven or high-end machine woven
- have long fibers (high-pile) such as shag
- have more delicate natural fibers like wool, cotton, or silk
- are are not cleaned on a regular basis
- have heavy spills or stains that require specialty treatment
- need fringe cleaning and/or fringe brightening
The major benefit of off-site cleaning is that additional steps can be taken to ensure proper care during the cleaning process.
Rug Urine Treatment for all types of odors (urine, feces, vomit, skunk) must be performed off-site.
Odor Removal with Rug Urine Treatment (R.U.T.)
We all love our pets (even though they sometimes have accidents).
R.U.T. is a revolutionary 2-step immersion process for all oriental rug odors.
- For all types of rug odors (urine, feces, vomit, smoke, skunk)
- Rug odors must be treated off-site
R.U.T. involves thoroughly flushing the rug with water between each step to effectively treat the urine crystals that have dried to the rug fibers and backing.
Oriental Rug Fringe Cleaning & Fringe Brightening (Whitening)
Oriental rug fringe must be cleaned by hand and must be done off-site.
We have 3 options for oriental rugs with fringe:
1) Do Nothing - We will not touch the fringe. If a customer does not instruct us to clean fringe, or clean and brighten fringe, then we will go with this option.
2) Fringe Cleaning - Choose if you want your fringe cleaned but prefer to maintain an aged look (brownish color).
3) Fringe Brightening (whitening) - Choose if you want your fringe cleaned AND prefer the fringe to look brand new (white).

How Do We Charge for Oriental & Area Rug Cleaning?
Our Pricing for Oriental Rug Cleaning is Simple:
For oriental rug cleaning, we charge by the square foot.
For Oriental Rug Urine Treatment we charge by the square foot.
(Most rugs have a manufacturer's tag with dimensions attached to the bottom of one corner)
For rug fringe cleaning and/or rug fringe brightening (whitening) we charge by the linear foot.
***FREE pick-up and delivery for all Oriental Rugs and Area Rugs -- we don't charge for things that should be included in the price!
